Hairavanti Celebrates 47 Years of Style, Service and Community in Keighley

For almost five decades, Hairavanti has been a familiar and much-loved part of Keighley’s high street, serving generations of families and helping shape the town’s hair and beauty industry.
Founded in September 1979 by Nino and the late Pierino, Hairavanti began as a family business built on hard work, professionalism and a commitment to looking after its customers. Forty-seven years later, those same values remain at the heart of everything the business does.
From its beginnings as a hairdressing and barbering salon, Hairavanti has continually evolved, expanding its offering to include beauty treatments, gifts and a carefully curated range of products. Despite its growth, the business has never lost sight of what matters most: people.
Over the years, Hairavanti has become far more than a salon. It has been a place where friendships have formed, life stories have been shared and special memories have been created. Generations of local families have walked through its doors, trusting the team with everything from first haircuts and wedding-day preparations to beauty treatments and finding the perfect gift for someone special.
The salon has also played an important role in developing local talent, supporting and training individuals who have gone on to establish successful careers and businesses of their own across the area.
Speaking about the milestone, owner Stef reflected on the business’s journey and the people who have made it possible.
“Hairavanti wouldn’t be here without the vision and hard work of my dad Nino and my late uncle Pierino, who started the business in 1979. Everything we’ve achieved has been built on the foundations they created.”
