Who Are We?
Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are business-led partnerships that bring together local businesses to invest in and improve their town centres. Since BID legislation was introduced in the UK in 2004, more than 300 BIDs have been established across towns, cities and business parks, generating over £100 million of investment each year.
Keighley BID C.I.C. was established in 2024, building on the success of the original Keighley BID, which operated from 2016. The current BID term startred in 2024 and represents a continued commitment from the local business community to support the town’s future.
Keighley is a vibrant market town with a rich heritage, strong independent business sector and a range of unique assets that attract visitors, residents and investors. However, like many town centres across the UK, it faces ongoing challenges, including changing consumer habits, economic uncertainty and the rising costs of doing business.
The BID provides a collective voice for businesses and delivers projects and services that help create a cleaner, safer and more welcoming town centre. Through partnership working, targeted investment and proactive promotion, the BID aims to enhance Keighley’s reputation, increase footfall, support local businesses and strengthen the town as a destination for shopping, leisure, culture and enterprise.
By working together, businesses can achieve more than they could individually, ensuring Keighley remains a thriving and successful place to live, work, visit and invest.
