Bradford Council invites you to ‘Keighley & Ilkley: A Place to Belong’

This is a follow up meeting to the meeting held in January where we worked together to explore what it means for the places where we live and work in Keighley & Ilkley, to be places where people feel they belong, where they are accepted, respected, understood and their voices are heard. If you couldn’t make it last time, we’d love to welcome you to the conversation this time.
When: Wednesday 21st October 2026, 10.00am – 2.00pm
Where: The Good Shepherd Centre, West Lane, Keighley, BD22 6ES
Parking: The centre has a small car park but there is plenty of on street parking nearby. Please be considerate to residents.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided
Please RSVP to keighleyareacoordinatorsoffice@bradford.gov.uk giving details of any dietary requirements or other specific needs that we should be aware of to help you participate fully in the event.
The event will take the format of discussions with other participants from different parts of the Keighley and Ilkley area centred around the four themes of the recently published Bradford District Community Cohesion Framework:
- belonging and community
- fairness and opportunity
- connection and trust
- pride and place
We will work in groups to build upon our Action Plan for the Keighley & Ilkley constituency that will guide how we continue to work together to make the places where we live and work, places where everyone feels they belong.
You do not have to have come to the workshop in January to attend, and be able to fully participate, in this workshop. All are welcome.
