Our History
Established over 120 years ago originally starting as a saddlery, the business adapted to changing times & in the early 1930s transitioned into the beloved shoe shop and equestrian outfitters it is today. We pride ourselves on offering great value and the best customer service built on decades of experience and local knowledge.
Products & Services.
Footwear: We stock a wide range of quality footwear for men, women & children including everyday shoes & boots. We are proud official stockists for respected British brands like Solovair, Loake & Tricker’s. We also carry wide fit options, wellington boots, safety footwear & country boots. Our team can also order specific sizes & styles if they are not currently in stock.
Horse & Rider (Saddlery & Repairs): Located upstairs our dedicated equestrian department provides a wide selection of riding gear, equipment & accessories, This includes riding helmets, boots, jodhpurs, tack cleaning supplies, grooming tools & leatherwork
Saddlery Service: Drawing on our long heritage we also offer services including leather repairs (such as horse bridles & riding boots) rug repairs and the production of bespoke leather items for heavy horses.
