British Heart Foundation Charity Shop

Located on Cooke Lane inside the Airedale Shopping Centre, the British Heart Foundation charity shop is a great place to find bargains on clothing, homeware, books and music.  Profits from the store funds vital research into heart diseases, stroke and vascular dementia.    As well as funding research the charity funds nurses, defibrillators and CPR training.

There are currently 25 remarkable volunteers who keep the shop running smoothly. From sorting and tagging donations to serving customers and managing their World Books eBay store, these dedicated individuals ensure every aspect of the operation adds maximum value to the charity.

“All of our volunteers are amazing, and contribute so much to our charity. We have a fantastic group of volunteers who get on well and make friends with each other. There are a range of ages volunteering at the shop, including school leavers who find the experience valuable when getting started in their careers.”

The sense of community among the volunteers is evident, creating an environment where people genuinely enjoy working together for a great cause.

“We always have a good laugh working together and support each other. Volunteering gets us out meeting people, working with different people and we get a lot of satisfaction from helping the charity. The British Heart Foundation shop in Keighley is a nice place to work, and everybody is friendly.”

How you can get involved

Volunteers.

The British Heart Foundation shop is always looking for new volunteers to join their friendly team.  If you would like to get involved please pop into the charity shop at 12 Cooke Lane, Keighley to find out how you can get involved in supporting this life saving charity.

Donations always welcome.

Donations are always welcome and they can be dropped in store during opening hours, or outside their unit on top of the Airedale Centre.  Men’s clothes are always in short supply, so if you are having a sort through your wardrobe the shop would particularly welcome donations of menswear.
