Learn to play the iconic dhol drum at this free workshop – no experience necessary.

The two-headed dhol drum is a true icon of South Asian music, absolutely central to the unmistakeable sound of bhangra. Punjabi Roots are Bradford’s masters of bhangra beats, and they’ll be passing on their knowledge at this free workshop in Keighley. Discover the history of this classic instrument, explore how it’s used in music today, learn how to play it properly – then pick up a pair of sticks and get drumming.

The workshop is suitable for wannabe drummers of all ages, no experience necessary – but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. You don’t need to book and it’s all absolutely free. So what are you waiting for? Beat it!

Ages: All ages. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult

Times: 12:30pm to 2pm
